UPDATE 26/7: The official mastered version of this track has now been uploaded by FJM's label, Sub Pop, so we've replaced the original version here.
Father John Misty just subtly dropped this sexy, slow-gyrating track on SoundCloud with the caption "why not," but I think we can all agree that nobody ever needs a reason for some wonderful new FJM in their lives.
Mr. Tillman obviously isn't going for satire or reaching into his bottomless bag of eclectic vocabulary on this one, instead bringing us a healthy dose of sonic oxytocin with lyrics like: "I'm a flower, you're the bee / It's much older than you and me." If things weren't already getting hot and heavy wherever you are, they're about to now.
Don't be afraid to dim the lights, ignite the fireplace, burn some incense, and crank up the volume on the sultry vibes this song exudes with its baby makin' bassline and groovy horns. What you do after that is up to you, but consider the mood set courtesy of everyone's favorite bearded genius.
