Why do we like this?
There are a few not-so-secret sounds that will instantly make me fall in love with a song. One is sprinkling a little saxophone on a track (there is just something about that big brassy instrument that leaves me weak in the knees).
The other choice ingredient is a children's choir.
Fashions, a Brooklyn-based trio with an affinity for neon colors and synth-pop dance music, includes a kids' choir in their track "Slip Away." Those damn little voices. They add the perfect dash of innocence and whimsy to a song, which is funny considering the line they keep repeating is "no one will ever come to our funeral."
Not much is known about Fashions yet, but I predict you will hear more of their music soon. They are in their infancy but have already stumbled upon a recipe for success.
