The Documentary on My VHS
A montage of sunlight noises and god ray instrumentation gives the natural lighting of this track an immensely fantastical feel.
I often like bonding the two senses of sight and sound together because it's never easy to create a sound that makes you see something. It's spiritual in a way when a track makes the sounds into sights. "Attempt" creates somewhat of a dual visual — it reminds me of a nature documentary and yet it has the aesthetic of a home video montage. It's a folky pop track with leather-strapped drums and spiderweb guitar strings.
"Attempt" is a truly good example of nature meets urban and it has a beautifully executed sight.
