Everything Everything have just released a brand-new track, "Desire." Just yesterday I was sitting in a coffee shop discussing 'desire' as part of the human experience. People of Indie Shuffle, I need your help: did my conversation in a small shop, at a random hour, on the continent of Africa cause Everything Everything to release this song the very next day? (Don't worry, I'm not delusional, I know it did.)
Alright, enough with the nonsense. "Desire" was released with an official video, directed by Dave Tree, in which the band rock out in front of digital screens, making for some beautiful visuals. The lyrics pack a pretty-powerful punch too, with verses like 'I want disaster, I don't want to sleep / It fills my vision, I can hardly speak / I'm just a knuckle dragger with the knuckle dragger grin / It took my mind and left a hollow twin.'
"Desire" comes from Everything Everything's forthcoming album, A Fever Dream, which you can pre-order here.
