UK artist Etta Bond once again teams with producer Chris Loco for her slow burning new jam "Addiction."
The track is another personal outpouring from Bond as she compares her love to a drug addiction she just can't quit. There's also a visual element to "Addiction," with the film clip (directed by UK portrait photographer Rosie) featuring Bond shaving her head. Bond wrote a short note accompany the track below explaining the song and film clips vision;
Just over a year ago, I had my last haircut. Rosie and I shot the bad4me video and, I decided it was time for a change. My hair tends to mark chapters in my life. I see an old photo and my hair will tell me who I was with, where I was living, how I was feeling. It helps me remember. I usually change my hair to feel new. Create a new visual version of myself to encourage my ever growing, ever changing spirit. But this time, I felt like I'd lost something. Having no hair made me feel free and powerful. I needed that back. I honestly hadn't felt like myself. It's like as soon as I get hair, I hide behind it. And although that's not solely down to my hair, it's certainly significant. I feel like my transformation will be noticeable. I'm ready for another chapter.
You can hear more of Bond's work here as she gears up for the release of her fourth EP later this year.
