Why do we like this?

Estate and Liquid Pegasus have joined forces to release a surreal new single called “Tendency” and a fleet of remixes accompanying it. I’ve chosen to highlight SloSlyLove’s as a standout from the pack.

Synth-laden soundscapes have almost become a cliché by now, but this one incorporates some EDM learnings, and the build is a necessary sonic device used to great effect. “Tendency” devolves for a moment into a series of chords that smack of Daft Punk, but rises right back up into the dreamscape to conclude with considerable force.

This is an epic, transcendent track that soars, there not much more than that. And that’s pretty perfect for this time of year.
