We're no stranger to Espa here at Indie Shuffle, having covered her numerous times. It's her haunting and intimate vocals that are so addictive - they always keep you wanting more. Thankfully, after just a few short weeks of waiting since her last release, she has delivered again.
Following up on "Pray For Me," Espa's "Rodney" is the latest track off her forthcoming LG60 EP. Featuring Flatbush Zombie's Eric Ark Elliot, this single drips in sexuality, epitomizing the word smooth.
Speaking on the track, Espa states: “‘Rodney’ is my playful comment on modern day sexuality, the yin and yang of masculine and feminine energy. Every time Erick and I make a track together (whether it’s for him, me, Flatbush Zombies or The Underachievers), we explain less and create more. The unusual musical bond that we have is something I cherish and I am proud of our growing body of work. It’s an honor to have Erick feature on this track that he has produced for me.”
"Rodney" has such a timeless quality to it and I can't really fault it. This one's on repeat.
