It's always nice to go back and listen to old favorites. I got a bit bored this past Labor Day weekend, so I dug through some hard drives and revisited some favorites. Amongst a heap of great stuff was a ton of Brendan Angelides' music, better known as Eskmo, and also known as Welder.
"Moving Glowstream" has such a unique sound, one that really pops out at you. This style hasn't gotten old whatsoever, but unfortunately not enough artists are experimenting with it these days.
His methods of combining foley art, in-the-box production, insane engineering, and interesting vocals have really set him apart from your average cookie-cutter electronic producer. Those styles all fuse into his live performance, so if you have the chance to see him live, don't miss out.
Hopefully he comes out with something new soon. Until then, you can give him a follow on Twitter to stay updated.
