We've shared a few bits from Auntie Flo and his Huntley & Palmer's label before, with the Glaswegian one of the go-to sources for world music these days. His latest project, The Highlife World Series, is a collaborative series of releases with Esa Williams. It features original songs produced in collaboration with local musicians in the various countries the pair visit, with all proceeds sent back to the respective countries in order to fund further musical production costs in years to come.
Generally, Auntie Flo's work has had more of an African focus, but the first part of the series sees him in Cuba. The standout track of the session comes from Esa, who's excellent "Sabela de Cuba" is surely a highlight of the trip.
