Why do we like this?
Currently touring with the likes of Four Tet, Sinjin Hawke, and Ikonika, Natasha Kmeto is making undoubtedly waves in the music world. Part soul and part electronic, this female artist has a perspective on her trade and isn't afraid to make a statement.
Soulstress Badu is certainly no easy person to cover. Her iconic R&B voice and style, instantaneously recognizable, is a source of true creativity. Kmeto more than does "Love of My Life" justice with a stripped-down style and honest vocals. Simplicity is the strength of this tune and the Portland-based artist executes brilliantly on that front.
