"Happiness is the kindness of others."
I remember reading the above quote some time ago and it has stuck with me ever since. EREZ's "Dance It Away" brings it to mind as they have written it for a person they love, with the hopes of relieving said-person from suffering.
Sometimes, in the depths of deep discomfort, a shake, a dance, some swaying, and abandon can relieve one from the tightness of it all. This is what "Dance It Away" speaks to.
It's an honest track that's not shy of 'soul', influenced by the artist's love of dancing late into the night. There's a deep sexiness to it too, as one pictures the crowd undulating in unison on a vibrating dancefloor alive with the promise of an unending night.
EREZ is an NYC born, Israeli-raised, and now L.A. based artist who self-produces her music so as not to rely on anyone to create (brava!)...and they do so with a love and passion that any keen ear would be able to hear in tracks such as "Dance It Away."
