Why do we like this?
I may be a little late on this one, but it still deserves recognition. Empress Of is quickly on the rise with her one-woman take of everything atmospheric and synth-soaked.
"Don't Tell Me" is a gorgeously composed, downtempo song that's truly hypnotizing and soothing. The tranquility on this track is penetrating and undeniable. There are obvious influences of genres' past, which have, of course, made their way back into the music market today. Thankfully for Empress Of, she's got a knack for this type of sound.
If you're looking to unwind and let go, I'd recommend turning on Empress Of's 7" and taking a few deep breaths. It may be all you need.
