Every year during the
Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival there are night shows, which showcase some of the awesome talent being featured at the festival. Mind you, these shows are held at small venues, typically in the range of 350 person capacity, and sell out within a matter of seconds. This year I had the honor of seeing Zedd blow the roof off of a little gem of a venue, The Independent, here in San Francisco.
Blazing through all of his hits, the crowd never fatigued and even yearned for more after his encore -- even though it was a Thursday night. One of the highlights for me was when he broke down a nasty trap remix of "Animals," which really brought things to the next level. While I've been to this particular venue countless times during my tenure in SF, I have never seen the place rage so hard.
So thanks, Zedd, for a locking up SF and putting that show in the record books.
