Why do we like this?
emawk's new single, "18," is a tripped out, stripped down R&B track.
This experimental, yet deconstructed, song still has a few layers to sort through. There's an undeniable pop sensibility with the tempo, providing the means for a foundation based on infectious beats. While maintaining its simplicity, the raspy vocals align perfectly with the beat and synth. Eventually, all that's left is the odds and ends of what once a constructed track, leaving a trail of instrumental pieces for you to pick up.
