Why do we like this?

One of the best artists that I've discovered in the last few years is Emancipator. His music won't blow you away with thumping bass or shredding guitar solos. Rather, it's an ambient trip hop in the vein of Bonobo and Boards of Canada -- the perfect type of music to listen to when you want to chill out. You'll have to excuse this remix of "Black Lake" from my prior description, though.

Yes, what we have here is indeed a remix of his own original song. "Black Lake" was first released as the second track of his 2010 album Safe In The Steep Cliffs. In 2011, he followed up with a Remixes album including 14 tracks from a variety of artist. Well, 13 technically. The 14th was this song, remixed by the man himself. Inception?
