The best thing about musical collaboration is the new fans that artists can reach. This is exactly what has happened on this track for me. One of 2013's most exciting new talents,
The Kite String Tangle, will be familiar to most of you because we've featured the Australian producer heavily
on our site in the last few months. But, I'd never come across his partner in crime, Byron Bay electronic producer Elroy 4.0 -- that is, until I listened to this brand new single.
Off Elroy 4.0's album
Pursuit of Paradise (which was just released today!), "Trinkets" is downright one of the smoothest tracks I've come across. Ever. No stranger to collaboration after his recent work with Adventure Club on their single "Wonder," it's a much more subtle approach this time around. The track maintains a somewhat mysterious undertone with an echoing, fluid production style that suits TKST's gorgeous vocals to a T.
Pursuit of Paradise is actually a pretty varied piece of work; there's definitely something for all electronic music fans on it. I suggest you head over to
Bandcamp to give it a listen in full. The Kite String Tangle will be touring Australia over the next month, with all the dates and information available
here.
