Why do we like this?

Stockholm-based artist Elias has just released intriguing new single, "Green Eyes." All I can say is: damn - what is this sorcery!?

Produced by GRADES & Cass Lowe, the track is the second offering from Elias' debut WARCRY EP, which also sees a release today via Warner. 

"Green Eyes" is a soaring, powerfully soulful track which is fraught with tension, yet possesses some strange tenderness. Elias' deep, sorrowful vocal is as stripped back as it is hard-hitting, showing the diversity of the future/electro-soul aesthetic in being able to transcend a number of genre boundaries. The swelling choral parts add another element of interest, and I feel the risks taken in this track has made it a definite standout, reminding me very much of Vicktor Taiwò's "Digital Kids".
