Why do we like this?
There's something very Golden Age Hollywood about this beautifully crafted track from London-based alternative duo Elephant, which premiered yesterday on This Is Fake DIY. Formed of "French-by-way-of-Pontefract chanteuse" Amelia Rivas and Christian Pinchbeck, who met back in 2010, the dreamy lo-fi pop project make fragile bedroom music that is all at once cinematic, nocturnal, and nostalgic.
A little Lana Del Rey in its swoonsome interspersion of filmic strings and delicate, hushed vocals, inspired by 80s disco and French hip-hop, this is the kind of music I need more of in my life. Check out their SoundCloud for more of the same gorgeous stuff.
