Eleanor Dunlop has come full circle. Starting out as a solo artist, she then spent a couple of years as a vocalist for dark indie pop group Cameras, who sadly called it quits earlier this year. Now, she's struck out on her own again, with her first solo material the haunting single "Disguise," currently a
free download.
This release speaks not of an artist just starting out, but one at the peak of her powers. Again on the darker side of the pop genre, "Disguise" is about seeing people in a completely different light. Dunlop's stirring, almost hypnotic vocals hover above a solid base of rolling piano and percussion, with the track's finish proving to be especially haunting as it really opens up.
This is the first single from Dunlop's debut EP, which is due out early next year.
