"How Far" is the new track from London's Ego Ella May, the first single that follows on from her 2014 debut EP Breathing Underwater.
Sultry and sensual vocals lead the melody on top of chill-out rhythms and a subtle beat. All in all, the sensual vibe simply melts off your speakers. The track evokes a kind of dimly lit cocktail lounge-vibe, while still maintaining a vaguely gritty air that, in some ways, reminds me of trip hop-forefathers The Wild Bunch (the '80s Bristol collective that introduced Tricky, Massive Attack, and Nellee Hooper to the world).
The track will feature on Ego Ella May's forthcoming EP Zero, set for an April 6 release. She's also reportedly dropping her debut album later this year, so make sure to keep an eye out.
