In the same vein as Crywolf, Eden started out as an EDM project by Jonathan Ngo. Back then it was The Eden Project, but eventually with a shift towards acoustic sounds and a less centralized genera, he changed the title to Eden and has been releasing under it since 2015.
i think you think too much of me was his second EP as Eden, a sorrowful blend of a net of influences. Each song has its own sound, but each is well developed.
"Rock + Roll" is the most traditional track off of the EP, with a classic guitar line under Jonathan's pained vocals about fame and forgetting. The piece opens soft before breaking into an intense guitar solo and rending chorus. The constant drum loop maintains an engaging pace even while the energy of the song fluctuates. Despite huge shifts, the transitions and dynamics are incredibly fluid. I think perhaps Eden deserves being remembered, maybe just a little.
