Why do we like this?
Melbourne producer Eckul and Sydney vocalist Blanco Son join forces on the mercurial electro track "Venice (A Long Decay)." A testament to he ephemeral nature of existence, it's a track that aims to immortalize a temporary experience.
The track was inspired by a guitarist Eckul passed on the street in Venice. He recorded a part of his performance, using this as the basis of the track. The piece took on a life of its own, evolving through various iterations, eventually eradicating the original inspiring sound altogether.
With breathy, layered vocals, spacey reverb and dark, sparse production, the two artists create an atmosphere of nostalgia using electronic inspired elements.
