Why do we like this?
"Tough Luck" straightened me up from my languid, slouched position in front of my computer. I'd like to believe I'm not usually in that position, but that's what the song does; it catches your attention and makes you prick up your ears. It's no wonder Partisan Records describes their sound as "brash and opinionated, short and sharp, fast and furious." If you ever played an instrument in your teenage years and dreamed of expressing strong opinion through music, here's what your dreams probably sounded like.
A five-piece punk band from Leeds, Eagulls had to come up the hard way: working long hours at day jobs in retail outlets and grocery stores, and putting together an incessant stream of energy=packed gigs which they are now known for. Following their trip to USA for SXSW this year, the band has since returned to England and spent some quiet time touching up their record. Their debut album is set to be released in early 2014.
