Why do we like this?

I first heard this jam on a train journey–I'd cued up a bunch of tracks I'd seen kicking around and was delving into a long listening session. Pretty decent song, then a duff number, then this...

The (what I call) opening's bouncy bass is an instant win for me. The upbeat vibe; the blend of RnB; the elements of hip hop–winners. I was the guy that turned up the volume high and then did the over-emphasized head nod. Yes world, I've found a jam and you (probably) haven't heard it yet.
