Listening to the onslaught of future bass releases is downright tiresome. Most times, it feels like a chore. Which is why whenever a producer shoots something over to us that actually has a semblance of artistry other than doing things for the sake of chaos, we cheer them on.
DROELOE's newest track, "See Through Me," is an overarching piece with bravado - trekking through the cacophony of whirs, noise, and kicks to find something resembling inner piece as ghostly melodies haunt the backdrop. Not unlike some of the more satisfying forays into this somewhat new subgenre by the likes of artists such as Melvv or Cashmere Cat, there needs to be a champion of feels and DROELOE captures that well enough to slip "See Through Me" onto our radar.
It's a track that is willing to take risks, right down to the abrupt ending that gasps for closure, but settles for wanting more.
