Constructing a playlist that matches the flow of a yoga class is an extremely difficult task. Matching intensity and rhythm are not easy, yet Drishti Beats, the eponymous name for a music producer and yoga studio in Northern Virginia, produces the beats themselves to match their eclectic flows.
The studio, according to their website, "…is a mind blowing musical and yoga journey like no other." I believe it, and I know where I’ll be going next time I visit my family in the Old Dominion State.
Just imagine this track in the midst of a deep vinyasa practice. It would be entrancing. The track starts in a faraway state where a dreamy xylophone riff transitions into a bass-driven beat-box overdub. From there, the track drops into a head-nodding hip-hop beat. There's a cross between old-school Nujabes and new-school Odesza in here which has me spellbound.
This is a dope track with a truly original tone and one of the most interesting origins I've ever come across. Serious props to these guys. They're taking two very crowded industries and building a highly unique niche within them.
