Why do we like this?

Drinker's got a real sad song on his hands here. Normally I'm not so into that kind of vibe, but I think there's something really interesting going on with the melodic progression of "California." Every time I listen to it I find myself stopping what I'm doing to take a moment to reflect. I'm hoping it has a similar impact for you.

Drinker is the duo of Aaron Mendelsohn and producer Ariel Loh, with roots in Brooklyn but a new home in California (...hopefully I'm getting that right.  It'd explain the lyrics, at least...).

They've got plenty of music up their sleeves already, including this 9-song EP/album called Fragments.
