Why do we like this?

Rising New Orleans rapper Dre Cruise is about to drop his long-awaited debut project later this month, but before the record sees the light of day, Cruise has released another one-off single, "On My Own." 

A farewell to his ex, "On My Own" combines Cruise's introspective lyrical jabs over cruisey beat from Dave Cappa, with additional production from KCDAPRODUCER (Drake, Lil Wayne, & Ludacris).

Cruise channels Big Sean's flow for this one, with lines such as, "I'm feeling like I dodged a bullet and you missed your only shot / I'm on that new wave girl and everything is exclusive / bad bitches on board now you missed on this cruise ship I'm gone," showcasing his lyrical dexterity.
