Aubrey Graham and Abel Tesfaye, otherwise known as Drake and The Weeknd, have made being an emotional Canadian cool. All the credit to them. Take Care is okay, I guess. Tesfaye's mixtapes have been refreshing, especially his recent Thursday, which spawned a ton of remixes that put him on just about everybody's map. They did some work together on Drake's sophomore effort, Take Care, and helped croon each other to the top of the charts.
Then along comes Love Thy Brother, two Montreal-based producers who have put out banging remixes of Wiz Khalifa's "Say Yeah" and Lana Del Rey's "Blue Jeans." They take what was originally (in my opinion) a boring track with little appeal in "Crew Love" and drop some seriously needed guitars in over a walking drive bassline. In short, they give the song a whole new life.
If two Canadians are good, then four Canadians are musical gold.
