Over the weekend Drake was the special guest DJ for OVO Sound Radio, and boy did he come through with the goods. Not only did he play the Justin Bieber remix of "One Dance," he also debut two new songs.
"Back On Road" features the recently released from prison Gucci Mane while the other, "4AM In Calabasas" continues his series of time titled tracks that always hit the mark.
The track is the most focused and inspired Drake's sounded since dropping "Back To Back" during his beef with Meek Mill last year. Speaking of beef, the track contains supposed shots at Mill and Joe Budden, as well as Puff Daddy, with Drake biting the flow of Daddy and Ma$e's flow from their classic "Can't Nobody Hold Me Down."
"4AM In Calabasas" also makes mention of Pac, shout outs A$AP Rocky and Kendrick Lamar, while referencing Kylie Jenner, Leonardo DiCaprio and Chris Farley
If only Drake was this fired up on Views he may have delivered the classic album we all know is inside of him. Until then, enjoy this for what it is, Drake at the top of his game.
