Why do we like this?

Based out of Tokyo, Japan comes Downtown Market, a duo consisting of Sleepingowl and KurumiI Sasaki. Supported by various artists since their development in 2012, they've produced sounds that range from shoegaze to upbeat guitar pop.

When I initially listened to this track, the foundation reminded me of the indie pop we saw in 2010, the simpler times. Resonating with my inner nostalgia and yearn for that period of time, I couldn't help but feature this one. "Stay With Me" may not offer anything fancy or unprecedented, but it has an infectious energy that'll draw you to it.

Hoping this is the beginning of a string of releases from Downtown Market. Enjoy!
