Why do we like this?

Ellie Goulding's back with a brand new single titled "Burn." Unlike her amazing cover of Alt-J's "Tessellate," this one is markedly more poppy -- following in the footsteps of her single "Need Your Love" with Calvin Harris.

Rumor has it that this track might be included in a re-issue of her album Halcyon, which was released October of last year. Either that, or it's an indication of work to come. If so, I'm a bit disappointed -- I thought her cover of Alt-J was an amazing direction to take her sound, but hey...if this is what sells more hits, I can tolerate it for the time being.
