Why do we like this?

Here's a nifty tune from singer-songwriter Kris Anaya and producer/multi-instrumentalist Joseph Davancens (former member of Tycho), aka Doombird.  

"The Salt" hooked me from the start with its ambient textures and melodic synth pop movement -- a perfect track for a cold and foggy morning.
