Why do we like this?

I've listened to Donkey Bugs' new album Ancient Chinese Secrets through several times, but each time my weary, concert-damaged ears pick up on some new sound. I'm no closer now than first listen on deciding what to compare "Three Times Fast" to, but it does make me feel like The B-52s are holding me hostage in a grimy garage. And I love every pulsing, hypnotic second of it. 

What I love even more is I cannot find much on this band anywhere online, convincing me even more that this album was actually made by a bunch of mysterious witches from space.
