Why do we like this?
Can't say I know much about Bronx rappers Doley Bernays or Denzil Porter, but I can say that I am big fan of this hip-hop rework of Deadmau5's "Raise Your Weapon." The hard-hitting production comes from MP Williams. True story: MP co-produced "Ghetto Symphony" on A$AP Rocky's LongLiveA$AP.
As for Doley Bernays, he first received attention for "Raise Your Weapon" a few months back over on MTV Hive. When it comes to good hip-hop, I don't mind being a little late to the party. The track is set to appear on Doley's forthcoming Just in Case EP. If you are interested in hearing another bass-heavy track from the EP, check out "Blessed," which is currently spinning (pun not initially intended) over on SPIN.
