It's hard to dislike lo-fi house. Especially when it's released by c l i p p . a r t, a label that has a good ~50% success rate when sending me music.
DJ Houseplants is a Seattle-based producer working toward a new EP. While I haven't heard the whole thing, I've seen it described as "plummy." Based on this single "I Don't Mind," that definition of "plummy" is probably leaning toward "choice and desirable."
There's nothing really groundbreaking or amazing going on here, but I think that's where it manages to win me over. It's just a smooth-as-butter, err, smooth-as-plum-jam lo-fi house single.
