It's a Distant View and a Distant Feeling
The 'viewpoint contemplation': we've all done it ( or I am just deeply, deeply strange). We have all kinda just sat at a viewpoint and thought about a specific tough decision, right?
I like this song because it takes such a normal moment, just looking out on a view and thinking about things, and makes it more than that, it gives it a huge narrative about a broken relationship. It gives all those thoughts all those moments their time in the spotlight.
"Sunflower, Are You There" is also a beautifully melancholic pop song. It doesn't move anywhere hard or hectic, it just stays with you at the moment — soft beats, soft vocals, and soft hugs. Even when it does take off for a second, it doesn't indulge, it still just rests on your heart and doesn't leave you.
