Disclosure is on fire right now. With their debut album Settle nominated for a Grammy to singles topping charts at #1 all over the world to playing high-profile music festivals, the sky is the limit for the electronic producer/DJ brother-duo from England.
Over the last two weekends, Disclosure performed at Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival in Indio, CA, where I was able to see them live. The highlight of their Coachella performance was having AlunaGeorge, Sam Smith, and Mary J. Blige come out to perform.
Last Friday, Disclosure came through the Bay Area for a stop on their Wildlife tour. The series of shows is part of many stops all over the world featuring artists that Disclosure admires. For the show in Berkeley last Friday, Bishop Nehru, Kaytranada, Justin Martin, and Claude Vonstroke started the night off before Disclosure hit the stage.
While I have been to quite a few shows at the Greek Theater in Berkeley, none had a crowd so amped and eager to get in the groove. When the lights went down, the crowd roard and welcomed Guy and Howard Lawrence to the stage. Even though I had just seen the guys play a few days prior, I must say that the production put into this particular show was amazing, making it special and unique. At the end of the night, the guys ended thier show with the song "Latch," and Sam Smith came out to surprise the crowd.
If their Wildlife series comes through you neck of the woods, by all means, do anything you can do grab some tickets. They will not let you down. Click here for future tour dates.
This smooth and jazzy house remix of "When A Fire Starts To Burn" is brought to you by Steezmonks. I hope you gobble this one up, because it is tasty.
