Dave Longstreth and Solange are back at it again.
After collaborating on Solange's A Seat at the Table, Dirty Projectors' Longstreth revealed the Solange co-written fourth track off the group's new self-titled album, written "during breaks from sessions for Solange's album."
Premiering on Zane Lowe's show on Beats 1, Dirty Projectors hooked up with R&B-heavy D∆WN on vocals for a duet of low-key, tropical pop for "Cool Your Heart" accompanied by visuals of the two of them on a nighttime walk down an empty road, in what's basically a song-long Boomerang.
The past few months have delivered us “Keep Your Name,” “Little Bubble,” and “Up In Hudson” off the highly anticipated album, and "Cool Your Heart" comes as a cheeky, upbeat relief from the heartbreak-heavy previous tracks. D∆WN's experimental playfulness brings a new buoyancy to what's set to be an exciting comeback from New York four-piece.
