Why do we like this?
Fresh out of Red Bull Academy, here's some progressive R&B from Dirg Gerner. He's a London based maverick originally from Berlin via Chile, making music with warm vocals and soulful beats. Gilles Peterson perfectly described this track as "beautiful and crooning." Really, it's all good.
If you don't remember Dirg Gerner, we covered him almost exactly a year ago when we discovered some more of his glitchy work with fLaKo. Now he's back with a new EP on Alexander Nut's Eglo Records. The songs are all this lush; check out "What A Life" to get a feel for his sound.
