Why do we like this?

Dinnerdate first popped up in my radar years ago with a series of pretty rad remixes. Each of them tended to be in a style I've come to call "daytime disco," and they still rank among my most-played songs.

As with most artists who rise to fame as remixers, the German artist has now spilled over into the world of original sounds. And boy oh boy, they're slightly different to what I'd expected.

"Wait For You" comes as the latest sampling, a deep house single rich in arpeggios and crisp production. The more I listen to it, the more I enjoy.
