Why do we like this?
I'm a bit sad that I only just stumbled upon Dillon, but the masses will discover this captivating singer-songwriter and electronic artist from Berlin sooner than later.
"Thirteen Thirtyfive," released at the end of 2011 on This Silence Kills, is raw and wistful. The sound lures us in and exists at the cross-section of other notable female musicians. There's a resemblance to the musical and visual aesthetic of CocoRosie, the vocal plays of Regina Spektor, and a command of innocence akin to Lykke Li.
Aside from the fact that it's quite good, I decided to share this track right now because we can eagerly look forward to a collaboration with Telefon Tel Aviv coming soon.
