I think Digits' new video for his single "Street Violence" may be one of my new favorites yet.
In a world where unruly street gangs rule the town, Digits' translation takes the cake. As I watched this video, I felt a constant tug of war between laughter and disgust... but mostly laughter. The plot and storyline is so captivating that I can't help but become engulfed. The visuals are fun, twisted and pretty much demented -- but it's well balanced enough to remain thoroughly entertaining. And the song is damn good, of course. An ethereal, laid-back synthwave ballad with slightly dark undertones. It fits perfectly within the theme of the video.
I'll probably end up watching this video a lot more; not only is it hilarious, but the acting is actually impressive. It's clear that Digits not only takes the time to make great music, he makes great videos, too.
