Carlos Serrano keeps pumping out mashups. And every time one comes along, I can't help but compare it to his Adele vs. Daft Punk mashup. The problem with that is inevitably I'm left a bit disappointed. But that ain't going to stop me from sharing this one!
It's pretty hard to go wrong when you bring together M83's "Midnight Cities" with Notorious B.I.G.'s "Mo Money Mo Problems." Both have etched a place in music history, though the latter is undeniably more successful -- released shortly after Biggie's death in 1997, it instantly topped the charts (replacing Puff Daddy's "I'll Be Missing You").
Unfortunately, I think these two tracks stand alone on their own far better than they do mashed together. But hey, you take two amazing songs and put them together, you're still going to get something good!
