Why do we like this?
Diarrhea Planet is a serious punk band from Nashville, TN. So serious that they play with four guitars. The first words of their bio are: "Shred till you're dead, or go to hell." Think "face-melting."
They released their debut album in June 2011, and are back with a new album, I'm Rich Beyond Your Wildest Dreams, which is dropping on August 20.
The first single to emerge, "Separations," is making its way around the blogosphere, and with good reason. It's good, wholesome, punk rock music. The howling vocals pierce over of the driving bass and heavy guitar riffs. It's a short but raw song that makes you want to join the mosh pit and start slam dancing while screaming along.
I'm Rich Beyond Your Wildest Dreams is streaming now on Spin.com and features as much eardrum destroying rock as you can handle. It's being released on Infinity Cat Recordings (which also brings you the rock stylings of Jeff the Brotherhood and Natural Child). Included in the stream is a short explanation of each song by the members of Diarrhea Planet.
