Why do we like this?
Devon Williams' "Your Sympathy" is the kind of upbeat pop music that's awesome to wake up to in the morning. Williams, a Los Angeles native, blends jingle-jangle guitars with high-pitched, echoing vocals. You would never guess that he once played in a punk band.
According to the Portland Mercury:
I haven't listened his latest album Euphoria (where "Your Sympathy" appears), but I can guess that it's exactly that: frolicking happiness compressed into a handful of songs.
According to the Portland Mercury:
"Devon Williams is the candy man, and he's stocked full of enough caramel-laced pop confections to send you into a sugar coma...In this case, it's the exquisite choral and orchestral arrangements Williams tops his treats with."
