Why do we like this?
This latest release from London's trio Dems is a little bit special. "Desire" is definitely not a song I would've been remotely interested in a couple of years ago, but today I find myself entranced by its performance. It's a moving bit of art that really surprised the hell out me on my first listen.
It's all about those vocals -- those deeply haunting, falsetto vocals that Dan Moss absolutely nails in this dreamy and romantic single. Coupled with some softly repeating breaks and a subtle string arrangement, this song travels straight to your heart and flows glowingly through your veins.
Overall, this is a beautiful piece of work that is also free to download here.
