Why do we like this?

Nothing makes me feel better than a strong cup of coffee. And based on this track, I can tell Delacey feels the same way.

Her relaxed song combines her love life with caffeine. It’s creative how she uses coffee as an analogy to talk about herself. For example, the word bitter can describe both her feelings and her drink. There’s also tons of coffee-themes lyrics, like the line: “You know I like to drink black coffee / because I'm way too dark for a man.”

“Black Coffee” shows off Delacey’s soulful and powerful voice, which comes naturally from her. I don't understand how this song isn't more popular, but hopefully me sharing it with you helps a little bit!

This is the title track from her album,Black Coffee, which the California-based musician released this year.
