Why do we like this?
I remember watching Deerhoof from the sidestage at this year's SXSW. Lead singer Satomi Matsuzaki may only be about 5ft tall, but holy crap did she have a lot of energy! To boot, the raw instrumental talent of each member was mind-boggling.

So, I'm not surprised that with their new track "The Trouble with Candyhands" they're trying all sorts of new things. It sorta sounds like Latin-infused electro-swing (yes, there's a lot of hyphenation there).

"The Trouble with Candyhands" comes off the band's soon-to-be-released Breakup Song, slated for September 4th.

Tracklist:

1. Breakup Songs

2. There's That Grin

3. Bad Kids to the Front

6. Flower

7. To Fly or Not to Fly

8. The Trouble With Candyhands

9. We Do Parties
