Why do we like this?
I'm really excited to present this new track by Decent Lovers. Their sound is infectious; their style fresh. "Collided" is the perfect example.
One of my favorite instruments, the kalimba, is the shining star in this track. An often overlooked instrument, the kalimba yields a pleasant yet off-kilter effect. There's a low-key tropicana feel to this song, but at the same time, I hear tinges of underground hip-hop here and there as well. The overall composition of "Collided" is unique, to say the least. With the combination of an ethnic instrument and modern-day drum machine, the track is definitely interesting, and I'd say that Decent Lovers nailed it!
Decent Lovers' fearlessness within their music-making only leaves me wanting more. I can't wait to hear what they come up with next!
